Lactation Consultants in San Luis Obispo, CA

What a lactation consultant does

Lactation consultants help with feeding: latch, supply, pumping, bottles, going back to work, weaning. IBCLC is the international board credential and takes years of clinical hours to earn. CLC and CLE are shorter certifications. Many consultants do home visits, and a lot of them now see families over video too.

Worth asking before you decide

• Do you do home visits, office visits, or video?
• Are you an IBCLC?
• Do you bill insurance or provide a superbill?
• How soon can you see us if feeding gets hard in the first days?
